When it’s time to honor an individual’s passing, we know what comfort flowers can bring. Arrangements may be sent to the funeral home, or directly to the family—either is appropriate. Flowers and plants are a welcome reminder that someone is thinking of you, and may be sent to a friend or family member at any time following the loss of a loved one.
Note: Sometimes an obituary will say, “in lieu of flowers” and offer an alternative for charitable giving in memory of the decreased. Unless the family has specifically requested the omission of flowers, “in lieu of flowers” does not mean that the family does not want or will not accept sympathy flowers. Instead, it is meant to offer another way in which friends, family and associates of the deceased may offer condolences.
